I love creating beautiful objects to adorn the home. Sconces, shades for lamps, sun-catchers…. objects that capture and reflect light allowing it to dance off walls and surfaces.

I also create flat tile work that can accentuate a kitchen or bathroom area – say a backsplash or a shower enclosure, or can stand alone as a piece of art to hang on the wall.

Much of my work contains pattern bars which begin as blocks of layered glass, fused, cut into cross-sections and then re-combined. In some instances, these pattern bars are taken to the hot shop and pulled into cane. After being annealed and cooled, the canes are chipped or cut into murrine (named for the island of Murano where the technique was first practiced). These murrine then are used to create intricate, repetitive patterns. My pieces vary from highly colorful and whimsical, to a more classic feel of simple lines and colors.
